He was born on 7th October in 1885, in Copenhague. He was the son of Christian Böhr, a professor of physiology on Copenhague University, and his mother was Ellen Adler, she came from a very rich and important Jewish family, and he have got a brother called Harald Börh (a future professor of mathematics). In 1912 he was married with Margrethe Nørlund. Have got 6 children, but they lost 2. The other four children have got an important studies; Hans Hernik Börh, Erik Börh (an chemical engineer), Aage Böhr (theoretical physic, following his father he become the president of the Institute of Theoretical Physics) and Ernest Börh (one of the bests lawyers of Denmark).After he finished his studies on University of Copenhague, he went to Manchester to complete his studies. In 1916 he started to work in a University of Copenhague been a teacher, and in 1920 he began taking part of the direction of the Institute of Theoretical Physics. During the Second World War he exiled to Sweden to avoid the German police. Once he was saved, he helps the anlgoamerican side when they wanted to built atomic weapons, and during this time he work in Los Alamos, New Mexico, in the Manhattan Project.
In 1922 made his first theory; The Theory of Spectra and Atomic Constitution, that consisted on the spectrum of hydrogen on the spectrum of the series of elements, the structure of the atom and the physical and chemical properties of the elements.
In 1924 made the Atomic Theory and the Description of the Nature, that was a introduction of Atomic Theory and the mechanical, the quantum postulate and the recently development of the Atomic Theory, the amount of the action and the description of the nature, the atomic theory and the principles fundamental of the description of the nature.
In 1934 made the The Unity of Knowledge.
The best award is the Nobel Prize of Physics, in 1922, he was awarded for his big investigations about the atomic structure and the radiation.+
